I have had this 4GB drive for a few months, but when I try to install it on various PC's (XP and Vista), I get an error that says "Hardware could not be installed" . Are there any tools out there that would help recover the data somehow even though I can't see it as a drive?
Thanks..

Here's an interesting read, if you're familiar with Linux:

There are lots of data recovery applications, like GetDataBack or RecoverData but they all cost $$$. I did have luck recovering files from a corrupted Memory Stick with Davory which was free at the time.

Some of these programs offer trial versions that show you what they can & can't recover. Best of luck.

nope, as long u dont see it in the bios/os there is no chance to retrive the data.
what error code do u get in device manager?

Which card reader are you using? Older card readers have a 2 or 3GB limit.
I suggest you check your card reader can support larger cards. I had a similar problem, solved by getting a bytestor reader.

Oops - sorry CRAFT moment + it's Sunday.

If it shows up at all as a drive even without a drive letter in Computer Management then something like "GetDataBack" might work? - Otherwise I don't know.
