Our payroll company is saying they can provide us an output in emp.dbf format for each of our locations anytime an update is made in their system. However, once I have these files, I have no automated way to push them out to NEWDATA at each location. Does software exist for this already?

I'm told there is a product called HR Bridge that might be what we are looking for. Does anyone know if this works with Paylocity? Is integration something that the HR company usually builds or something we'd have to build in house?

I would not trust any payroll company to supply any dbf files for Aloha. There are so many variables and reliances from one dbf file to another or many. Sounds like a disaster in waiting. If you want to use them you can always copy and paste or write s simple batch file to do it for you.

Thanks posrescue. Any experience with HR Bridge?

I have used it in the past with Menulink. Once we managed to get the programming setup correctly, it worked OK. HRBridge is not an application, but an API that you can call to push employee information into the hosted databasae. I am only sure that it works with Menulink / NCR BackOffice. Not sure if you can use it with Aloha directly.

Menulink man. Both Menulink and Aloha share the same files and emp.dbf

You know this! If it works for Menulink then it would work for Aloha but a batch file is more than likely needed to move the dbf into data/new data

When HRBridge pushes data into Menulink, it does so in the cloud. Ive never heard if HRBridge works with regular AlohaMgr since it is not based in the NCR Ft. Worth DC. Let me ask an old co-worker if he knows if it is compatible. He was the HRBridge admin for our former employer, and might know the answer to this.

Got an answer:

For regular Aloha Manager (info stored only in local .dbf files), to add/change records, any number of standard database editing programs can be used: Access, Excel ...

There are two separate programs with same name: HRBridge:
HRBridge for Aloha CFC: web interface and API for access to CFC employees
HRBridge for NBO/Menulink: web interface and API for access to NBO/Menulink employees

In the case of Aloha Manager, there is direct access to source data (.dbf files).
In the case of CFC and NBO, databases are hosted by NCR and there is no direct access to change source data. Datamart tables are just a one way copy of live data.

Great, thank you. I think HR Bridge for CFC is what we are looking for. I'm assuming NCR doesn't provide resources to create an interface so and I'm at a very small but growing company. Any suggestions on 3rd party resources we can use to develop an interface to utilize the API to work with Paylocity?

When you login to run reports or adjust your submenu's what icon do you double click? Is it orange with the letters CF, or is it a blue circle with an A in the middle of it?

Perfect. New Aloha Manager looks exactly the same, but behind the scenes, it is different from CFC. I would ask your reseller if they can recommend anyone that can handle the programming for HRBridge. Typically your reseller or NCR rep will know a consultant they can recommend.

Okay. I'll check with them. They've been involved up to this point and haven't made any recommendations thus far.
