Emgr 5.0.0.10 on virt. server
Noticed yesterday that Emgr client locks up completely if I try to use the policy editor to choose "Selected Network Elements" to make a change in the sites we monitor. (Escalation Policy)
You can edit anything in the form except the selected elements (or selected locations) either choice will immediately hang the client app hard (requiring Task Manager to close it)
In effort to investigate I disabled the escalation policy and then noticed after disabling it that the selected elements had now defaulted back to ALL elements and the alarm categories had defaulted to nothing selected.
Of course we have backups, but anyone who has ever had to try to restore Emgr from a backup will tell you it's not a clean process and you wind up having to reenter a lot of things manually.
Ideas?
