Hi

I have a strange one here, i have an emg80 on an isn30 circuit which has been converted from dass. Everything is fine except for one particular number (their main customer) when they dial the number it rings twice and is then answered by an auto attendant, whereupon the call is dropped with the message "isdn released - message not compatible". They can ring any other number and auto attendants it is just this one number that fails. BT trend tester can ring the number fine as can mobiles etc.
I am thinking the call connected message from this auto attendant is sending a weird message which the emg80 cant understand so terminates the call?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Joe

Hi

I had a similar problem with an IPECS50B with ISDN2 where the users could dial out, hit auto attendants and dial through ok. There was one client they dialled that they couldn't break the dial tome when pressing digits for the options.

I increased the gains for the transmit DTMF tones and it solved the issue. I'm not saying it will be your answer but its certainly worth looking at.

I may've increased other gains too but only ever so slightly. Please take a download before you change the gains so you can revert back if it doesn't work.

Ok, Press Trans *#..... TRANS/PGM..... the transfer key?.......sigh!

Hi Mate

Thanks for the reply did yours actually get answered? Mine drops as soon as the autoattendant answer so i cant input any digits.

Thanks

Joe

Hi

Yes it got answered.

Have you tried dialling a DDI at the customers site rather than the main number? Have you tried blocking your CLI to dial the number too?

Hi Joe

Can I ask you how you have converted the Dass circuit, as I have a customer that has dass at the moment but is stuck in contract to be able to move this to SIP?

The Dass was converted by bt using one of their converter boxes, took about 15 minutes downtime and very cheap for the customer

Hi Joe

Can u tell me how you ordered this from BT and what you ask them to get this Dass converter Box?

Thanks

Mark

Hi

Just request a conversion from Dass to ISDN30 they charged my customer about £20 per channel to convert

Thanks

Joe
