one of my consoles says EMERGENCY on the display. Is there anything I can do about this? what does it mean? please advise. thank you.

OK ! move under your console the key PWR Fail TR , and your problem is gone

well, wolfi, it sorta worked. Yes, the word EMERGENCY went away, and the console was in night, and the operator put it in active, but her loop key isn't working. Nothing happens when she presses it. the calls are just waiting. any other ideas?

Did you probe , unplugged and then plug in again ?

Wolfi

no i didn't. and i won't! i heard unplugging a console can bring down a shelf, so I will just wait for my maintenance tech. And i don't know what "probe" is anyway. Thanks for your help!

what's not true? that i don't know what a probe is (smile). Okay, so it WON"T bring down a shelf. Good to know, but I'll still wait for my guy and let him show me. thanks.

Your PWR fail transfer switch is not working or malfunctioning. we had the same problem and just remove the PWR fail TR switch from the board forever. Now the consoles are working. We did not use any new switch as we don't require.
