I was wondering if it is possible to break into an active internal or external call and talk to the person. A problem occured the other day when we had an emergency out in the plant and the plant manager was on the phone so when we tried to call him we received his voicemail. Is there anyone that no matter when we try to call him we always get through to his phone. I tried silent monitor but that only works for external call. Any suggestions?
 
What version of BCM are you running? Priority call may work or if your version allows it you could program a phone in a page zone and program the feature that puts his call on hold and allows the page to come through his phone.

BCM 3.7 Yeah i tried priority call but was unsure how to use it. How would i use it and program a phone in a page zone?

I have some documentation but when i try to do a priority call F69 it doesnt work, it says dial number first but when i dial the number first then try it i do not connect to that person

Priority Call:
If you get a busy signal when you call someone in your office, you can interrupt them for an urgent call. This feature is enabled for a telephone under Capabilities in Terminals and Sets programming.

Yuo must also set Intrusion levels.

Follow these steps to set Intrusion levels.
1 If you are not already in the DN record, click on the key beside the telephone DN to which you
want to set an intrusion level.
2 Click on the key beside Capabilities.
3 Click Intrusion.
4 In the Protect lvl field, choose an access level.
There are four levels of access:
• None feature is turned off, user cannot break in on any calls
• Low user can only break into calls on other telephones with low level protection
• Med(ium) user can break into calls on other telephones with low and medium-level
protection
• High user can break into calls on all other telephones with this feature
 
I saw that in the BCM documentation but when i get to capabilities all that are listed under that category is Call Forward, Hot line, SWCA call group. Any suggestions on how to get Intrusions?
