I'm hurting now...I dad is visiting from out of state and I was running updates (MS, BIOS, etc.) when I noticed that his AMD XP 1700 is running at 1.1GHz (should be 1.47)...So dumb me thought I could correct this by going to BIOS & changing FSB from 100. I changed it to 150 and now the computer will not boot up. I get one "Beep" & a line about VIA K7 and that is it. I think maybe I should have just changed the FSB to 133. Is there anyway to correct this quickly & painlessly? Any help will be greatly appreaciated especially since this computer is not mine.

Sorry...forgot to mention specs...
Motherboard: MSI KT4 Ultra (MS-6590)
CPU: AMD XP 1700
RAM: 256MB Kingston DDR333 PC2700
WinXP

Your MOBO has a jumper that you can "short" to reset your CMOS/BIOS (I believe it is jumper 7, but not sure). In any case this will reset your MOBO to factory settings. Your FSB on that MOBO should not be higher than 133.

The link smah posted will show you the exact location of the jumper and how to set it.
