Hi All,

I am having a new issue where when a user tries to call the emergency number, it is taking 10+ seconds for the call to connect. All other calls connect in a normal speed of about 1 second.

I have checked the ARS call progress tone detection and can see the max wait for a tone is set to 1 second. What else could I be looking for to explain why the call takes so long to connect?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,
JCCDM

what is the emergency number ( they vary from country to country)
what do you have in ARS digits dialled for that number
do you have any overlapping ARS Digits dialled entries

eg in AU we have 0 000 for emergency ( 0 is access code) 000 is emergency

ARS digits dialled we normally set as 0000+0 RT xxx

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Agree with Billz66 on this.
Sounds like overlapping numbers to me (number conflict)

The system is waiting for a complete number or timeout.

It depends how you program the 000 number. Sometimes people program 000 (without the leading digit 0 for outgoing) This can cause delays because you will have an overlapping number for IDD calls. e.g. 0 0011 + Unknown.

When you dial 000 the system is going to wait to see if you want to dial international or not...

I probably should add that these days on our sites with Micollab Softphones we have ARS digits dialled 000 as well
this is because 000 is shorter than the Extension number length set on the Micollab

we have lowered the dialing conflict and interdigit timers in the users cos to shorten the time it waits

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Thanks all for the suggestions, we ended up creating completely new cor groups and routes and got it to work.

Cheers,
