When I try to dial 811 or 911 on any phone the intercom button lights up for several seconds then goes blank, nothing happens with the dialed call.
When I dial 411 or 211 the screen says dialing then goes thru. I have set all 3 digit calls ending in 11 (211-911) the exact same way.
What can I do to fix this?
Update: looks like I can select "call" and it will go thru. For saftey reasons can I change these to be auto dial numbers?

Sounds like your route is waiting for more digits since Are you using 8 or 9 to access outbound routes?
Where did you setAre you using the dialing options in PBX Configuration->Nortel Settings?
In outbound routes are you matching on dial patterns 911 or 811?

I assume you use Nortel phones on the system (not SIP phones). If that's the case, it looks like you don't have the following patterns on the Nortel Settings page under Dialing Options:

X11 - this pattern tells the system that 911 and 811 are complete numbers (i.e., that a call should be initiated after collecting three digits ending with 11)
.T - this pattern tells the system to initiate a call after a timeout (4 seconds by default) if at least one digit was dialed by the user

If no pattern is matched by dialed digits and there is no timeout pattern, the system would abort the dialing after 10 seconds of inactivity - the user has to press # or the Call soft key within 10 seconds to initiate the call.

Yes these are Nortel M-series phones on a gateway. I changed the Nortel settings page (it was missing 911 and 811). Problem still exists Only on 811 and 911. I have an outbound route that lists each all 9 of the three digit numbers (211-911).
Is it possible I have 8 or 9 as an outbound access code? Where would this be? I see no difference in programing between 711 and 811.

Just wondering - haven't you entered dialplan patterns on extension configuration page(s)? You can configure dialplan patterns used by all sets on the Nortel Settings page - entering dialplan patterns under Nortel Properties of a specific extension overrides the global defaults (Nortel Settings). Unless you have special requirements for dialing from an extension, you should leave the dialplan patterns under Nortel Properties of all extensions blank and only enter values on the Nortel Settings page.

Found it, thank you UCXGUY. I had programed dial plans specific to the extensions. After removing these everything works great.
