Noobie VM question -

Client has a menu node for their Auto Att and wants the zero-out locatation to subsequently go back into VM to the general delivery MB if not answered. Can I do that?

Noobie?, who you trying to fool?!

The Zero routing can be set to unique values for each mailbox. With a Menu Node, the DN MUST be associated with a mailbox. (Makes using Nametag Groups as routing more complicated)

It also gets complicated if the General Mailbox is associated with a DN that normally rings. If you set the zero to the Mailbox it will transfer to the DN before dropping to vm. Or the General mailbox can be set to message only if you NEVER want the auto-att to transfer to that DN and instead have it go staight to VM.

If none of the above is satisfactory you could:
- Create a mailbox that matches the DN of a Speedial
- Speeddial will have digits assosiated with nametag Hunt
- Nametag hunt DN = *XXXX where XXXX = General Delivery MB
- Nametag hunt routes directly to VM
- Dial Zero of Menu Node goes to MB that matches DN of Speedcall

Thanks... well... emem is new to me. I'm an Octel guy. Thanks!

Compared to Octel, the EMEM is extremely limited.

When challenged, the default answer is "No, it doesn't do that"

I'm going to really miss this Octel (Overture-250) when it finally gets retired. Maybe I'll retire at the same time ;)
