EMC vs Dell Clariion

What is the difference between EMC and Dell Clariion units? Is there a difference in support / functionality / performance ?

It's the same thing. When Dell resells it, it may repackaged as a Dell product but you are using the same storage array. What model specifically are you referring to/using?

Hardware same, although promotions, pricing, support and install options may differ somewhat.

My two cents - If you buy Dell servers by through Dell so that the server vendor and storage vendor support is the same. If you are not a Dell server customer, go with whoever gives you the best deal and customer service.

Thanks for the replies. I have used EMC through a reseller for years but it has always been EMC support. I did notice that through Dell support you don't get the same services as with EMC. Things seem to be more ala carte than bundled.
