EMC stats vs. UNIX iostat?

Has anyone every run a benchmark to compare how the stats available from EMC utilities for EMC Symmetrix RAID devices compare to what the UNIX performance commands like iostat can see? I'm interested in how stats like the disk utilization and average service time compare between the 2 as I understand that UNIX cannot accurately see the performance of the EMC devices, so I'd like to know how much the UNIX stats are off by?
