We just recently purchased an EMC Celerra, but not the media server. Do you have one ? What has your experience been thus far?

Disappointing performance on CIFS though. Any tips ?

We haven't implemented CIFS on any volumes yet. We have only used it for NFS.

Is the performance disappointing because it doesn't perform better than your old CIFS server (I am assuming you were using a Windows NT File Server) ? Or is the performance worse than your old server ?
