What is the importance of running the EMC Nav agent for AIX?

Some informations will be send to navisphere. For example you'll see wich filesystem is mounted on your defined LUNs

As the NaviAgent is not required, it makes it easier to manage the host from the Clariion. For example, without the NaviAgent you will have to manually register the host HBA's to the Clariion.
