Is there anyway I can find out where these problems are coming from. What is emergency backup?

I am using Arcserve 2000.

Emergency backup takes place when it is detected that there is a problem with the volume. A backup of that volume will automaticly be initiated. It is dependent on the OS, disk driver, and the hard disk for it to work.

In this case it could not take place due to network problems causing the winsock errors.
