Embedding video

I've got a MPEG video file which I'd like to embed into a web page, so that when the user clicks on a play button, it plays the video once, preferably with the windows media player controls that you normally get.

I'm quite new to website design, and can manage HTML, CSS & Javascript, but only in their pretty basic form. IS this too difficult for me to do?

If your MPEG file is really big, you may need an encoder from Microsoft which is free, to make it smaller
