Embedding Vb macros in Ms project?

Not sure what you mean by "embed". Macros by definition are stored in either the plan or in global.mpt and those are the only places you can put them.
As for user-friendly ... how much more user-friendly do you want? Project plan preparation and tracking are non-trivial tasks. If you want a simpler interface then switch to Excel.
