I need to embed an mpg file in a powerpoint 2000 presentation. I have tried inserting this as both a media clip object and using the Insert Movie from file method - and I make sure that I don't "link" the file. No matter how I do it, the movie doesn't get embedded.

Normally this isn't an issue, but this presentation is very large & must be burned onto a cd, so the path is going to change once it's burned.

Anyone know how to get around this or really embed a file?

TIA

Usually with powerpoint 2000, you would use the insert movie from file and pick the file you need to have inserted.

I recommend you have the mpeg file in the same directory as the presentation and then when all is said and done before you burn to a CD use the pack and go wizard, it will make sure that all associated files and links are kept with the presentation.

I know that I have used this on many presentations both large and small in the past and it has worked. Hope this helps.
