Hi,
I've learned that in order to have crisp text for the web that you need to write the code in HTML.
Is there a way to embed, in HTML, a non-stream font so that you're not stuck with the defaults if the browser doesn't support it?
Thanks
Embedding fonts can be done with WEFT (I think it stands for "Web Embedding Font Tool". This is a micro$oft tool and is free for download. The only problem is that it is only supported by Internet Explorer (I think - I could be wrong). I think Netscape has there own tool that will do that same thing.
You might even find a tool on google that is cross browser compatible. I haven't looked into this in quite some time.
I cant wait for the browser wars to subside in order for support for my graphics to come around. I just make a 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768 versions of my pages when crispness is crucial. Seems tedious i know, but I build at the highest res I need and just re-export slices at different reses. It also helps to have a bad-ass programmer for a little brother so your site can determine which version to display.
