Embedding flash presentation in webpage

First, I am a network admin, not a web developer. But, sometimes that "other" in your job description stretches quite far.

I have a flash presentation that a design company created for us. It is on my website and works well. However, my boss wants me to apply our standard website template to the html page so it has the standard headings and footer.

Whenever I try to apply the template in Dreamweaver, the flash presentation disappears. I also tried creating a new blank page from the template and copying/pasting the code relating to the flash into the new page and same thing.

Please help.
