Embedding a word document in excel or vice versa

Any help would be great. Is there a way to embed a word document into excel as icon only. Not opening the file into the document. I guess the same would apply for vice versa an excel document into a word document.

Insert-Object.
Choose Create from file.
Choose your doc or xls file and hit Open (or OK, I forget).
In the next dialog, choose the Icon option.
