Embedding a sound file 1

II want to enbed a sound file that will play when my page is launched!

Am I restricted to MID files, or can I also do WAV or MP3. I tried the <EMBED> tag, but while the fiels play locally (when not uploaded) when I try and launch the site on line, no sound plays!

Any tips?
