Embedded voice mail allows you to check Telephone directory so you can reach someone if you don't know his extension. Auto Attendant asks you to dial 9 for this feature.

Is there a way to change that 9 for another number??

In some countries in Europe they use 0 for outgoing calls and loads of customers have extensions beginning by 9.

The Directory feature is accessed by dialing 9 from the Auto Attendant. To prevent confusion between dialing a mailbox that starts with 9 and dialing 9 for the Directory, an inter-digit timer of 4 seconds is started when the first digit entered is 9. If no other digits are entered during these few seconds, the user is transferred to the Directory.

Keep in mind that the Name is searched for in the MALBOX configuration, not the MCD TELEPHONE DIRECTORY

As soon as I press the first 9 it asks me to enter the first letters of the lastname, it is not allowing any interdigit timmer

If there are no extensions or ARS using the first digit 9 the timer doesn't start.

I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

As soon as I added a mailbox starting by 9 the timmer started to work.
