Is it possible to change the Mailbox number? i.e. there is a nice recording on mailbox number 1070, but i want it to become mailbox number 7210. it looks like you can change the extension number, but i wanted to use this in a multi-level auto attendent and it seems the mailbox # and extension # need to match.

thanks

You can access the system via FTP and extract the old greeting. you can either copy/rename it for the new mailbox or use the Audio file update.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, don't go there. This is not for rookies.

kwbMitel,

I know what you are talking about :)

The only question is on the ftp site and its folder structure. Im not sure where greetings are held and how i can identify which greeting belongs to which mailbox.

I they are stored in this directory..
/vmail

one other question is the format, i see now there are folders created for each mailbox, but the files inside are like:

V4a5bb06a.01c

is there a way to play them with media player etc..?

thanks

i got it figured out, ignore my previous rambling and thanks!

You see why I said it was not for Rookies.

Not too difficult if you know how to navigate the directories.
