Embedded vm uploading the name for a mailbox

Hi Is it possible to upload a pre-recorded file for the name for a mailbox.

yes, you can via FTP i think it goes in /vmail/d/vm/name and the file should be called namxxxx.vox where xxxx=ext number. This must be in .vox format though

And doing it that way would not be considered standard practice.
