Mitel 3300 MXe - Release MCD 4.0 SP1

Utilizing the embedded voicemail with an Information Only voicemail box the personal greeting is played then the system greeting "thank you for calling if you have a touch tone phone you may enter the extension of the person youd like to reach, for a personal directory press 9 if you need assistance press 0 or remain on the line, you are being transferred to the operator." I want the personal greeting to play then the call the hang-up. Is there a way to acomplish this? I checked the help and couldnt find one.

thanks

Yes there is a way but you have to do this via the administrators mailbox and enter a technicians code
I think you will need greeting option 1

thanks for the quick reply...

I changed the non-busy option to 1 and left busy at 0 but i still hear the auto-attendant prompting after the personal greeting.

It is an "informational only" voicemail box and maybe this is the reason?

I typically use Menu Node mailboxes with the default option set to hangup to serve this purpose.

Changing the information only mailbox to a menu node prevents the auto attendant system greeting from playing but loops the personal greeting. You mentioned default option set to hangup, could you elaborate on how i can have the personal greeting play once then hang up?

thanks

Make sure you don't have bi-lingual enabled

from the help files said:
Changing a Menu Node Mailbox Time Out Behavior
Access the Administrator's Mailbox.

Press [2] to edit or delete mailboxes.

Press [2] for the Edit Mailbox menu.

Enter the mailbox number to edit.

Press [#] until you get to the Menu Node Time Out option. The system specifies the active Menu Node Time Out behavior:
"Disconnect on menu mailbox time out is disabled" – callers are sent to the mailbox operator upon time out.
"Disconnect on menu node time out is enabled" – callers are disconnected upon time out.

To disconnect callers upon time out, press [1] (enable disconnect).
To send callers to the mailbox operator upon time out, press [2] (disable disconnect).

Note: The default is "Disconnect on menu mailbox time out is disabled".

The system returns you to the mailbox.

kwbMitel, thanks for your patience with me!

the "time out" length is set where?

I do not know if the timeout timer can be adjusted if that is what you are asking. The timeout behaviour is what matters. I assume the timeout value is 3 seconds and should be sufficient as is.

ahh, it repeats the personal greeting three times and hangs up, id prefer if i could set it to play the personal greeting once and hang up, but ill take it as is.

thanks again for your help..
