Mitel 3300 Cx 8.0 embedded voicemail. Customer wants to change to directory by first name. I toggeled the voicemail prompt to first name but when I'm in the VM I type in some ones first name but the voice mail gives me the closes last name match.Voicemail is still searching by last name. Where else do I change the directory info?

The name in the VMbx must be entered in the same order as the flag

Lastname, Firstname will not work for Flag - Firstname

Firstname Lastname will work

So when ever a customer wants to change to first name Directory you have to rename all the mailboxes to Firstname Lastname instead of the default lastname, firstname that gets created when I create the mailbox from the user config form? Won't this affect my voicemail to email also? I'll give it a try on a couple of mailboxes.

Yes and Maybe. I don't see the connection between the MB name and the MB email, but you could easily know more of this than I do as I just set it up. I don't use it.

Yes, I tried that too, sure enough the set name is not what is read. Its the mbox name that is read.

Needless to say I set it back to last name :)
