embedded quicktime scroll problem in safari

I have a problem with a page which has an embedded quicktime movie. The page has a sidebar on the left side and a div on the right side with the .mov in it. The area on the righthand side can scroll horizontally but when i do this in Safari, the embedded quicktime movie moves over the leftbar, instead of disappearing off the screen.
