I want to send out an email (html format)that contains graphics and text (obtained via unix server script).

How do i embedd the graphic into the html text so that the reicipient will recieve a mail with graphics in it (even though the graphic is not on their server)The only thing that changes is the text

Any ideas ?

Depending on your email client, you can just send an HTML page as the email and it will work OK. Just be sure to provide the complete url to the graphic - Each email client has it's idiosyncrasies but for the most part, it works pretty good. You'll have a ton of trouble if you're sending this to an AOL recipient. Seems AOL doesn't like their users to get HTML email. They have to be fairly computer savvy to fix the problem which involves changing their browser settings and clearing their image cache. There's always a better way...
