Embedded Excel OLE

I am currently working on a project where I have an embedded OLE Excel worksheet on the form. I want the user to have the ability to double click the object and select a cell. After that, I would like them to click a command button to take a reading (dependent on the selected cell) and place it into the selected cell. My interfaces with the measurement tool and with an Excel application work fine. However, the problem arises since I want to use an embedded OLE object on the form. I can set values in the object if it has not been opened/edited. However, once I double-click the OLE, the reference library functions no longer work on the object. Even if I escape out after double-clicking.

Any suggestions???
