Embedded Excel Object Problem

I have an embedded Excel object in an Unbound Object Frame in the page header of one of my reports. This object is used to create column headers for the report. I used an embedded Excel object because I needed the column headers to be slanted at a 45 degree angle. The probelm is that I needed to add two more columns. I edited the object and added the additional columns but the object will not get any larger on the report. The Unbound Object Frame is large enough to hold the entire Excel row but it will not grow to fill the frame. It keeps cutting off just short of 12 inches wide and two columns short. I need the picture to be as wide as the frame (13 inches) and display all of the columns. Does anyone know how I can get the object to grow to show all of the columns.
