Sorry guys,

I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times before, but a quick search didn't bring up anything relevant.

Simplish - i presume.

I want to load HTML pages into my flash movie, with my flash menu buttons loading the relevant files into the HTML window wihtout reloading the SWF file.

Ideas? Anyone know how it's done?

Cheers!

You cannot load html pages as such within a Flash movie. You can only load some (11 or so html1.0 tags supported) html formated text in dynamic textfields.
With MX2004 there's now some CSS support, but outside of the img tag which was added, not much else in terms of html tags.

Possible halfway workarounds are the use or a borderless frameset, and maybe the use of extra divisions and/or layers, creating an illusion.

How would one go about embedding text like that?

Well, I'm curious to know how I could take the text from an external file (like a .html or a .txt file) and import it to a variable in Flash. So that if the data in the text file changed it would be reflected the next time the .SWF was accessed
