Embed a password in a link.

I would like my users to be able to login to a commercial site that we have a corporate agreement with, without having to enter the corporate password. Is there a generic way to do this? I asked the vendor and they seem confused by the request and they weren't very helpful. I tried to add pwd=#### where #### is the password to the link, but that failed. Dave Saunders

If the site uses HTTP authentication to access the site, the canonical way to add userid and password information into a URL is:

http://userid:password@www.mydomain.com/path/doc.html

If they use an html page to login, it can be done but it's complicated. ______________________________________________________________________
