I'm trying to write very large numbers like 4.94065645841247E–324 and 1.79769313486232E308 (the positive number range for the Double data type). How would you do this for run-time variables or constants?

I should have mentioned without getting an overflow error!

What do you want?

Also check the Double.MaxValue and Double.MinValue

Use double data type

Double - 8 bytes
-1.79769313486231570E+308 to -4.94065645841246544E-324 (negative values)
4.94065645841246544E-324 to 1.79769313486231570E+308 (positive values)
