we use Eman/OPS Manager we have a 3300 that we need to change the IP address because of a move
I thought the way to change the ip address was change it in the 3300 reboot , delete the element in Enterprise manager (do not sync) add the element back with the new ip address and subnet same name of course for the element and then sync and the element in the element editor would reflect the new address

Yes your method is correct

Share what you know - Learn what you don't

you could also auto discover the element after IP change.
Did this a while ago so I forget step by step what I did but auto rediscover was the just of it.

because the element name stays the same, Ent man will know to change IP on that particular element. If memmory serves me you'd have to resync to ops as well.
