Emails received as text attachments

My email in Outlook 2002 has suddenly started appearing as text attachments with no body text. One or two seem to be getting through correctly but the vast majority of my emails are blank with a text attachment containing the body.

Does anyone know how this happened and how I can resolve this issue?

I don't know if this helps, but this fault is caused when going from 'a.n. other' mail server to a Microsoft one ...
