Emails not being received by local recipients

I've have a couple of users telling me that messages they have been sent or message they have been told they have been sent haven't reached the recipients.

I've checked the message tracking and the users that sent the messages have the following entries as blank in message tracking

Recipients
InternalMessage

The following are null

TotalBytes
RecipientCount
Reference
ReturnPath

I ran the troubleshooting assistant and it found no problems.

Is this an intermittent problem or one that shouldn't be there in the first place?

Need more details. Are these messages sent from internal or external email clients? What do you use for SPAM management? Did you check the users Junk Mail folder?
