Emailing to a distribution list (03) Problem

When I create a distribution list, and then I select: New message to contact, it won't work (types a text in the To or CC field that is not useable as address) and when I create a new message, I could not select this list as recipient.

Am not sure I understand your question.
However, the list is taken from existing members within the company network which are individually accessible, as well as (sub)groups of those.

Is this a personal DL in Outlook, or is this a DL created on a server (and which email server)?

We use Microsoft Exchange server as far as I know.
However, this is added to my Contacts, so I suppose it's local (client).
