emailing links, urls, documents from desktop or website

When I try to send a link or document from my desktop or from a website, I get a message whent the email opens for an address to be added: "This message has not been sent." This message appears over the SEND button, so you can figure the message is never going to be sent! That's my XP at home. If anyone can give me some insight into this, I'd be greatly appreciative.

That's normal behaviour. You then enter the email address you want to send the link to in the to: section and hit send.
