Hi all

I have a slight problem... We have an access db (2003)that records helpdesk tickets, the DB then sends out an e-mail via outlook to the relevant support person when a button is pressed. this works fine for the majority of the users, however a couple of users are experiencing problems - When they click on the button to send the email the system just hangs and does absolutley nothing, the only way to exit is to end the task.

We have checked the versions of Access and Outlook on all the PC's and we can't find a common denominator - Has anyone come across anything similar in the past?

Thanks

could be a security/permissions issue...

sounds like those users are experiancing a time out when they click on the button, try putting in a break point and stepping through the code to see at which point the app hangs...

Installing the previous version of CDO will defeat the new security "features" in Outlook that may be causing this behavior.
