My company's switching over slowly to Sharepoint, from a simple file server.
One of the things I found intriguing was the idea of setting up an internal website, such as for serving up employee docs on-demand, and other things.
One of the things I'm building for our EXISTING system is a form designed to collect certain proposal information and email it to another employee who builds documents based on that info.
Is this something I can do using SharePoint? I'm v-e-r-y new to it, but it seems as if I ought to be able to start building some sort of internal site on the SP server and add a page of that form, and then use whatever SP's version of sendmail is to email the contents to another user on the system.
Am I sniffing up the right tree?
Thanks!
Edward
