emailing attachment

My database references a PDF file ie record 001 references 001.PDF; record 002 references 002.pdf and so on. What I would like to do is have a button which opens outlook express and automatically attaches the relevant pdf file. Can this be done? TIA

Have you checked out DoCmd.SendObject?

I've checked it out but it only appears to apply to Access objects ie
acSendDataAccessPage
acSendForm
acSendModule
acSendNoObject default
acSendQuery
acSendReport
acSendTable
the object I wish to attach is a PDF file.

You need to use Automation or DDE for this purpose. Outlook Express does not support either. If you switch to Outlook, you can use the code in the thread mentioned by whiffy.
