emailing and session variables

I have an email that I send to users that has a link in the message that brings up a record in a database. Is there anyway to create two session variables based on the value of that link for validation purposes on the page that loads???

Hi there ...
I Think the only way is that you sent the values of the
session variables by QuesyString and then in the page
which is called by the Link you get the values and
store them in the session valiables ...
