I have a Windows 2000 server and a static ip address. I use this a web server for a website. I want to install sometime of email program so i can have email addresses for my website. I use CDOS on asp web pages a lot and want to be able to fire off emails from this web server now. i have no idea how or what i need to but or if i can do this free since i have a domain name and static ip.

can someone help me with this. my budget is very limited but i only need to setup 5 email accounts for CDOS purposes....

please help.

Have a word with a local ISP, you should be able to get 5 hosted email addresses for a few $/£ per month.

Your current ISP will need to point your domain's mail records (MX) to whichever server ends up hosting your email. (assuming you dont go to your current isp first, for mail hosting)

Then it is relatively simple to configure your email client to send receive mail, and integrate with your website app.

paulha,
Will I be able to use CDOs on my asp webpages?
