Hello,

I would try and connect to the remote SMTP server. Go to and enter the domain name into the DNS lookup box, use the drop down menu and select "MX", hit Lookup.

This will tell you what servers are used for mail. Then, telnet into each on port 25:

telnet domain.com 25

If you get a prompt, and the connect is made, the remote mail server should accept the mail and you may have a local issue on your Domino box.

It also could be a simple "time-out" issue. Maybe there box went off-line last night and your mail is stuckk in the queue. If this is the case, you can bounce your Domino Router from the console:

tell router q
(wait for the router to shutdown)
lo router

Hope this helps.

Rgds,

John

Additonal question on this issue. I have this problem with only certain mail domains every time. Is it possible that my DNS is not resolving the names?
