I've just finished a requirement which has a .txt output. The last part of the requirement is that the .txt file is emailed (email appl/OS and address are unknown). What approach do I use to figure this out? The only angle I can see would be possibly making a program that would look through a system for outlook.exe or any email program and then launch it. With so many different opearting systems and paths, I'm at a loss here. My client does not have the luxury of going back and asking for any email clarification so what I've spoken is all I have. Any thoughts?

On second thought, how would I make a browse button which would browse a hard drive for an user to find and launch his email program? I would then need the .txt to self insert.

any ideas?

thank,
Jennifer

The CDONTS object model is one option. Also, if Outlook is assumed on the system, you can talk to it directly with it's object model but CDO should be there.
