Right, I have a Discussion Group created that is mail enabled, so if I send an email "Hello" from xyz@hotmail.co.uk it is put as a post in the discussion.

If I click reply on the discussion item it will post it back into the thread, is there anyway that it can email the person back that initially sent the email. Sort of like a shared mailbox in sharepoint?

Cheers,
Pete

Well, if notifications are enabled for forum members, then they should get notifications via email. Just make sure that's enabled for all those who need to get the messages..

Is that what you're talking about? If I remember correctly, the email body will include what was posted to the forum thread..

Yes but when the system account picks up the email from the mailroot folder it creates the thread as its self and I cant see what the email address that it was sent from.

Also where is the option for notifications via email for a discussion board? I cant seem to find it?

Thanks,
Peter

Well, I'd look for you right now and see if I could find it again, but I can't even get TO our SharePoint site right now

- ah nothing like network issues before 8am in the morning.
