Email thru Dos

I want to send an email through a dos command. How can I do that?

Do I use Telnet? If so, How? I have no idea how to work with telnet, but I am sure it is easy. I don't know commands and all that other stuff.

If I use telnet, what port do I access on the Exchange 2000 Server?

Basically, I want to have a program where it runs a command that will log in Exchange Server and then send a message.
