email permissions issue

I am getting the following error when I try to send an email from a trigger that executes a sqlserverproject. I know is a permission issue but I am not clear on exactly what steps and where to correct the problem. I use the same login and password for sending email in a Visual foxpro program that works just fine.

'System.Net.Mail.SmtpPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' request for permission failed.
