I'm trying to send reports via email out of Great Plains. If I have Outlook open when I'm generating the email it works fine. If I don't have Outlook open it just sits in the outbox until I open up Outlook and send it.

Our email server is Exchange 5. Our Great Plains is 7.5

The email server is in another domain.

The email profile is setup to use Pop3.

What Service Pack are you on? I beleive if you are not on Sp2 you can run into a problem where if you are sending an e-mail in Great Plains the outlook program will not open in the foreground but if you minimize all apps you will see it open in the backround.

Hi, I am on Windows 2000 SP3 and using MS Outlook. It doesn't pop up in the background at all.

I do get a dialog asking me which profile I want, then I get the email screen and once I put in the destination address and hit send it disappears and then the email goes to the outbox where it sits.

The e-mail function is looking at the default profile on the citrix machine and does not recognize your profile. Unfortunately the only way I have been able to send e-mail is to recreate my e-mail profile eveytime.

We have developed a tool called aXicom that makes e-mailing or faxing any Crystal Form or Report out of Great Plains a simple and efficient process.
